Traditional brick-and-mortar schools don’t work for every student all the time. That’s why we structure school around the student.
With Cognia accredited curriculum and flexible learning pathways, our certified teachers give each student the time and attention they need to succeed. Our teachers work with parents and students to build a personalized learning environment, and each family has a dedicated Success Specialist to advise them throughout their time at Stellar Hollow. Virtual school may not work for every student, but Stellar Hollow Virtual Academy works with every family to help our students succeed.
We know our students come to us for a variety of reasons. Some pursue a passion requiring extensive travel or long hours of practice, like athletes and performers. Others have been victims of bullying or have medical issues that make attending a traditional school impossible. Whatever the reason, we’re excited to offer the flexibility and security these students need.
Our curriculum is also geared to serve all students: those who want to be academically challenged to prepare for higher education, those aiming for industry certifications and well-paying jobs, and students who need some help catching up to their peers.
Additionally, our Academic teams actively participate in curriculum development to boost student engagement. With the team’s input, the curriculum is tweaked to meet specific needs and give students a voice in how they learn best.

Our academic programs are modeled as “education with destination,” which means that our curriculum can be adjusted to meet the unique skills, values, and interests of your child. For example, our unique three-week enrollment process was built to ensure a smooth transition into for your family. Once your student gets started, our expert academic teams will use multiple data points and metrics to track their progress. By working closely with parents, your child will have an individualized support system that meets their individual needs and supports their future goals.
As graduation nears, a learning team will foster their future plans through mock interviews, career and college planning, workshops, resume writing and review, and more. The bottom line is that we want your child to find lifelong success after graduation!

Our teachers are state-certified in Missouri and have experience supporting all learners. We hire only the best online teachers and use your regular feedback to ensure we adapt to support your needs. Our teachers support students using innovative tools to help students transition from brick-and-mortar classrooms to a successful online learning experience. Teachers also have access to engaging curriculum tools like discussion boards and online video presentations to engage your student and improve their educational experience.
Additionally, student support teams proactively foster a sense of belonging, motivation, and confidence among our students. Our teams meet with your student throughout enrollment, guide them through orientation, and work to create structure in a new, independent environment. This team will work with your family to address all concerns, from struggling time management skills to technical difficulties.

A laptop or computer with these system requirements and reliable internet are all the supplies needed. All courses are web-based, and all materials are embedded within the curriculum. Presentations, videos, and other instructional materials will be linked and available to our students.
